Hey everyone! I'm looking for a good harness for my 2-year-old Border Collie, Luna. She's about 45 lbs and super energetic - regular walks turn into sprints! The front-clip harness I have now seems to chafe her armpits. Any recommendations for durable, comfortable harnesses that can handle pulling? Also open to leash suggestions if they make a difference. Thanks!

Hi Tim! Fellow dog mom here :) For Border Collies, I'd recommend a Y-shaped harness that doesn't restrict shoulder movement - Ruffwear Front Range or Kurgo Tru-Fit are great. Avoid anything that sits too high on the neck. For leashes, a 6ft bungee-style helps with sudden pulls. My Aussie used to escape regular harnesses until I switched to these!

Off-topic but seeing 'harness' made me think - aquarium fish need proper containment too! For active fish like danios, you need tight-fitting tank lids, not harnesses obviously lol. But seriously, secure habitats matter for all pets. Back to dogs - my sister's lab uses a Julius-K9 harness, works well.

Thanks Vicky! The Ruffwear looks perfect - just ordered one to try. Larry, funny connection! Luna would probably try to swim with danios if she saw them. Anyone have cage/crate recommendations too? Need something for car rides.

For crates, Midwest LifeStages double-door crates are airline-approved and foldable! Measure Luna's length plus 4 inches. Pro tip: put a comfy mat inside and practice short sessions first. And yes Larry - all pets need proper setups, though my dog would definitely harass my imaginary aquarium!
