Hey everyone! Just brought home a 4-month-old Great Dane puppy named Titan. He's already huge and growing fast! Need recommendations for a sturdy harness and leash that can handle his size/strength as an adult. Also thinking about a crate for training - what size should I get? Budget is flexible for quality stuff that lasts. Thanks!

lol wrong thread buddy? This is dog toys category, not equipment. But since you're here - I keep my bearded dragon in a 120-gallon tank, so I know about sizing up. For a Great Dane, get the biggest crate they make and maybe reinforce it. They're like gentle giants but can bust flimsy stuff. No advice on harnesses though, my leashes are for reptiles 😂

OMG congrats on the puppy! I have 3 cats so different world, but my friend has a Dane. She uses a Ruffwear Front Range harness - says it distributes pressure well and doesn't chafe. For leashes, get a 6ft heavy-duty one with a padded handle. Crate: go straight to 48" or larger. Don't waste $ on intermediate sizes, they outgrow them in weeks!

Ugh, dogs. My Persian cat Mr. Whiskers would never need such gear. But if you insist on keeping a horse indoors... My neighbor's Dane destroyed 2 cheap crates before they got a Impact Dog Crate. It's pricey but indestructible. Harness-wise, avoid anything that puts pressure on the neck - their tracheas are delicate. Look for Y-shaped chest designs.

Thanks all! Larry - haha yeah I posted in toys by accident but glad you replied! Clara - ordering the Ruffwear now. Chris - good point about the trachea, will avoid neck pressure. The Impact crate looks solid but $. Maybe I'll start with a heavy-duty wire one and upgrade if he Houdinis out. Appreciate the help!
