Hey everyone, my 2-year-old German Shepherd mix is a toy-destroying machine. I've tried everything from 'tough' rubber toys to those 'indestructible' balls - he chews through them in under 5 minutes. I'm tired of wasting money and worried about him swallowing pieces. Anyone found something that actually survives more than a day? Bonus if it's not crazy expensive!

lol sounds like my monitor lizard with his basking rocks! Honestly, for heavy chewers, you might wanna look at reptile supply stuff? Like those solid resin hides - my beardie can't even scratch his. Not exactly toys but maybe something durable enough? Just make sure it's pet-safe material obviously.

As a cat owner, I can't help much with dog toys (my Persians are fussy about everything), but my friend's pitbull loves the Kong Extreme. It's the black rubber one - she's had hers for months! Also, have you tried antlers? They're natural and last forever, though kinda pricey.

PugPatty's onto something! My snake's water bowl is ceramic and indestructible. Maybe a ceramic dog toy exists? Otherwise, I'd second the Kong recommendation - my brother's boxer has one and it's still intact after a year. Just avoid anything with seams or weak points.

update: just remembered they make dog toys out of firehose material! Saw it at a pet expo once. Basically the same stuff they use for actual fire hoses - my tegu would struggle to tear that. Might be worth searching 'firehose dog toy' online. Good luck!
